Firstbeat Life™ occupational well-being measurements
Firstbeat Life™ is a personal health and wellness service that takes a very close look at the balance of stress and recovery, sleep and exercise. The goal of the service is to help the customer understand which everyday habits promote the wellbeing of the body and mind, and how the balance between rest and workload can be influenced.
The Firstbeat Life™ wellbeing measurement registers heart rate and heart rate variability, and can be used to monitor the body's reactions to the day's events. The participant receives a personal Firstbeat measuring device, with which an unlimited number of measurements can be taken during the selected period. Measurement results can be monitored in real time through the mobile application included in the service.
Real-time monitoring helps to understand the connection between the body's reactions and the events of the day, and to make decisions that support well-being in advance. The application also provides video recommendations based on measurement results, which can be used to make changes that promote well-being. The application provides immediate feedback on the effectiveness of the changes.
The Firstbeat Life™ service includes a coaching meeting, the goal of which is to help interpret the results and give tips for changes that support wellbeing. The meeting discusses sleep and recovery, nutrition and weight management, exercise and everyday activity, as well as life balance and stress management, weighted according to needs.
The first coaching meeting can be arranged when measurement data has been accumulated for 3–5 consecutive days. During the monitoring period, the participant can monitor the effect of the changes they have made by self-measurement. A new measurement period with coaching meetings is recommended approximately 4–6 months after the start, when it will be seen what kind of effects the period has had
